You will own features from design to rollout, ensuring the platform remains fast, reliable, and maintainable. Ownership
What you will own
- Design and implement core platform capabilities and product features using Rust
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications, including API design and architecture plans
- Develop maintainable domain architectures with strong test coverage and thoughtful abstractions
- Manage the full feature lifecycle from initial design documentation to post-release iteration
- Collaborate with front-end engineers and product managers in an asynchronous, remote-first environment
- Conduct code reviews and create technical documentation to uphold high engineering standards
- Enhance team execution through technical mentorship, pairing, and pragmatic decision-making
Fit
What we look for
- 3+ years of production experience with Rust
- Significant background in backend engineering and API design
- Deep understanding of systems engineering, including concurrency and distributed systems
- Proven ability to design and evolve resilient, maintainable software architectures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote-first collaboration
- Experience with data-intensive systems, including databases, streaming, or storage engines
- Background in building developer platforms or public-facing APIs
- Proficiency in performance profiling and optimization within Rust
- Experience turning ambiguous product needs into shippable platform features
