We are looking for an experienced Head of Brand & Marketing to lead brand strategy and marketing execution for a fast-growing consumer brand in the health and wellness space. Reporting directly to the founder, you will own the brand vision, retail marketing strategy, content, public relations, community growth, and marketing performance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building marketing functions from the ground up, combining strategic thinking with day-to-day execution to drive sustainable brand growth.

Ownership

What you will own

  • Develop and execute the overall brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and category narrative.
  • Define and evolve the brand voice, visual identity, and content direction.
  • Lead retail go-to-market initiatives, including product launches, in-store activations, promotional campaigns, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Manage public relations efforts and coordinate with external PR agencies and media partners.
  • Build and expand ambassador and partnership programs with industry professionals and key opinion leaders.
  • Develop and execute a content strategy across social media, SEO, owned channels, podcasts, and educational initiatives.
  • Grow and engage the brand community through events, retail activations, partnerships, and digital experiences.
  • Own the marketing budget and optimize investment based on measurable business outcomes.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key marketing KPIs, including customer acquisition, retention, brand awareness, organic growth, and campaign performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to translate vision into marketing initiatives and execution plans.
  • Lead and coordinate external agencies, contractors, and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Write and review marketing copy, creative briefs, campaign materials, and communications.
  • Continuously test, measure, and optimize marketing initiatives based on performance data.

Fit

What we look for

  • 5–10 years of experience in brand, marketing, or growth leadership roles within consumer products.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience at Director level or in an equivalent leadership position.
  • Proven experience scaling a consumer brand through national retail expansion.
  • Background in health, wellness, supplements, beverages, or related consumer products is highly preferred.
  • Experience within women’s health or adjacent health categories is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute marketing strategies in early-stage or high-growth environments.
  • Hands-on experience with brand strategy, content marketing, PR, retail marketing, paid media, ambassador programs, and community building.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience managing marketing budgets and measuring ROI.
  • Excellent strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong copywriting abilities.
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment with limited resources.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Willingness to travel for retail initiatives, events, and community activations as needed.
